Notes |
- FAMILY CLUES: 1) The Hill family may have been of Quaker origin. This was asserted by Merlin J. Stone of Ogden, Utah, who wrote a synopsis of the family on May 1, 1899. Mr. Stone asserted that this man, Mr. Hill (grandfather of Sarah Hill Strong), disappeared during the Revolutionary War, because it was against his religion to go to war, and he was never heard from again.
2) Sarah Hill Strong, Wife of Jacob Strong, was baptized for an aunt named "Sarah Hill." Therefore, Her father, "James Hill" had a sister named Sarah.
