- DEATH: According to Frances Strong Helman, Susannah Strong Bennett was near term with a pregnancy, when she hurried to the stable to milk the cow before a storm.A weight pole on the stable (used to hold clapboards down) came loose, falling upon her and causing her death. She was buried with the dead baby on her arm.
