"The Election At Eureka
The election in Eureka passed off quietly. A.B. Marquand was elected mayor. C. R. R. senstock, G. S. Ferguson, John Higgins, Bert Lugg, Harry Turner and Walter Noll were elected trustees. There were ten names on the list for trustees and no opposition to Marquand for mayor. We did not learn what the main issue before the voters was, but from the common interests of that thriving little city, suppose it must have been a clear weather ticket that was elected."

"Frank Thompson and Harry Turner were visitors from Eureka Wednesday in Silverton on business."
